Guard Against Carbon Monoxide Poisoning

It's been a lovely fall so far, but we all know the nights are really starting to cool off and heaters are being switched on. It's always a good idea to have your furnace inspected annually by an HVAC professional to make sure your equipment is operating properly. Carbon monoxide is a deadly, odorless gas that can occur when systems are not operating properly. You might also want to consider installing a carbon monoxide detector or, if you have one already, consider replacing it if it is more than five years old. Also, check the batteries in your smoke detectors to make sure they are working properly or replace those units if they are over 10 years old.
