Volunteer to Serve on a Board or Commission

You can play an active role in Harrisonville’s present and future when you serve on one of the City’s volunteer boards or commissions.  Harrisonville has eight different groups who study various types of city issues and offer advice and recommendations to the aldermen on possible remedies or courses of action. These include the Board of Building & Engineering Appeals, the Board of Zoning Adjustments, the Enhanced Enterprise Zone Board, the Historic Preservation Commission, the Industrial Development Authority, the Park Board, the Planning and Zoning Commission and the Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Commission.  If you have a specific interest and can spare a few hours throughout the year to meet and help advise the elected officials, please complete the application on our website and return it.  We have vacancies on each board.  Find complete information on our volunteer boards and commissions on the city website at http:ci.harrisonville.mo.us/Index.aspz?NID=54
